Gail joins us us from Leeds Teaching Hospital as our new Deputy Head of Midwifery and has nothing but praise for the warm welcome she's had at CHFT.     “I’ve noticed coming from a larger organisation that the relationships here are much tighter. It makes such a difference.

Physician Associate Students

We welcomed three new Physician Associate students to the Trust in August. This is a new profession for the NHS.           At present over 220 Physician Associates are employed across the NHS, working in over 20 specialities.

Boulevard's 5th Anniversary

Boulevard Medical Practice are celebrating moving to new premises five years ago.     The surgery held a anniversary event which included a knitting session called ‘knit and natter’, a free raffle, a healthy walk and a party for all the children who are now 5 years old, who were born when the surgery moved premises.  read more

We *heart* Kim Wade - she's left us after 35 years at CHFT

We're sending best wishes to Heart Failure Specialist Nurse Kim Wade who has left CHFT after 35 years of service with our Trust.     Kim started as a pupil nurse in 1980 and then she enrolled in nurse training. Her passion for Cardiology and coronary care began when she started on Appleyard Ward in 1986.  read more

Dr Mansoor Ali, consultant renal physician, has sent his thanks to Dr Garthwaite for the invaluable services she has provided over the years to patients with kidney problems at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.        Dr Garthwaite began working at CHFT in 2008 and was well liked by patients and colleagues alike.  read more

There are still places available on the next cohort of the Research in Health Care Course due to start in Autumn 2016.  Please find attached the course programme and course enrolment form.  The course is offered without charge to all NHS and Care organisation staff within Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber (LETb) region.  read more
