Exceeding targets and keeping us all safe. Meet the... Calderdale Immunisation Team.

   The team was formed in April 2015 to undertake the school based immunisation programme within Calderdale. The team offer the following vaccinations; Year 1, 2 & 3 – Nasal Flu, Year 8 girls – HPV Cervical Cancer, Year 9 – Diptheria, Tetanus, Polio & Meningitis ACWY & Year 11 – Meningitis ACWY.

Mums group a real hit in North Halifax

A group for new mums and babies is thriving in North Halifax.    Health visitor, Katie Keeler, has set it up alongside child development support work Steph Goldstein who has introduced baby massage to some of the free drop ins set up to support mums wanting to breast-feed.     They are held every Thursday at Illingworth Children's Centre from noon - 1.  read more

In training and ready for the off

November 19 it is... the day EPR it set to go live.     And CHFT is in a great place to be ready as there's been a tremendous response from all divisions for reps to become EPR "Friends". Training for them is underway so when it is rolled out they are there to add support to everyone else in their teams.  read more

Cash Challenge

   Our finance chiefs have issued a timely warning to help the Trust keep on track this year. They have issued these measures to try to keep our borrowing down so more money can be spent on frontline care.     Borrowing cash in this year will cost us money which could have gone on front line services.  read more

The Go Live dates have been agreed for the implementation of Nervecentre’s electronic task management system – Hospital Out Of hours Programme (previously known as Hospital @ Night or H@N).     Switch on at CRH will be 5.00pm on Wednesday 14thSeptember, and at HRI 5.00pm on Wednesday 12thOctober.  read more

Here's our latest Long Service Award holders. They were presented by our chair Andrew Haigh and CEO Owen Williams at the Learning Centre at HRI.     Andrew & Owen thanked them all saying he was proud to work alongside colleagues dedicated to providing compassionate care at a time when we face some of the largest challenges that we've ever faced.  read more
