What our patients think of us: In-patient 2015 survey results are out

Better at patient privacy on the wards and in A&E and better at hand hygiene! The results of the annual Inpatient Survery 2015 are out.     In most areas scored, CHFT stayed the same but we are pleased to report improvements in the two key areas above scoring in the high 9s out of 10.

Adios y un abrazo - that's goodbye and a hug from Julio Nunez

   Anaesthetist Julio Nunez is off to be a "happy pensioner" after 18 years at the Trust and 30 in the NHS.     His colleagues joined him in theatres at HRI to give him a send-off this lunchtime.     He said: "It is then with a mixture of sadness and happiness that I leave CHFT.

Changes to car parking permits - July 2016

We're making changes to our car parking permits - the deadline to leave or join the scheme in time for July is Friday 17 June.     There is nothing to do if you are already in the scheme - the changes will be automatically applied.     These changes mean a decrease in the cost of parking for many lower salary scales.  read more

HRI Fire alarm testing TOMORROW - the sound of the alarm is changing

The sound the fire alarm makes at HRI is changing to fall in line with current guidance. We will be testing it tomorrow; Friday 10 June.     The continuous alarm sounds when a possible fire has been detected in the area where you are in the hospital. This then triggers a second intermittent alarm across the rest of the site.  read more

Look Good Feel Better! Make-Up Masterclass

   Last Wednesday, a Make-up Masterclass was held for people affected by cancer in partnership with Look Good Feel Better (Registered charity number 1031728).     Held at the Briar Court Hotel, the Masterclass was facilitated by the Trusts Macmillan Cancer Information Manager Dinah Coggon.  read more
