   We are currently finalising our actions to have a rigorous financial plan on a sound footing for the coming year. Like many trusts across the country, our financial position next year will be the most challenging one yet.  Like all Trusts, we have a 4% efficiencies target to achieve next year and this equates to £14m at CHFT.

You were very funny for money and did the Trust proud.  Our Pharmacy Manufacturing Team wore onesies and ingenious staff in the HRI Pharmacy staff  produced a photo frame and a range of mad models!!. See attached photo gallery. More than  £150  was raised between them including sales of cakes and food.

Moving forward

The Trust is refreshing its branding to better reflect the Four Pillars of behaviour.    In the meantime we need to ensure the former logo - "Your Care, Our Concern"  - still widely used is withdrawn from use.  read more

It could be you.. NHS poll this month

This is to advise you that DH and NHS England have commissioned a market research agency called GfK to run a poll on NHS staff’s awareness of and attitudes towards national policies affecting the NHS. The survey will gauge opinion across a range of staff of different grades and in different job roles across England.  read more

Straight to the point... are you sharps safe?

   Our Infection Prevention & Control Team will be holding their Sharps awareness week from Monday. (Mar 23 – 29 2015)  There will be display stands at HRI and CRH in the restaurants and sharps safe reps will be available to discuss sharps safety devices used in the Trust.  read more

CHFT Events

Nobody puts baby in the corner......

   ...and certainly not at our annual Assisted Conception Unit's party this Sunday. It's going to be huge - one of the biggest ever. We have more than 70 babies and 100+ older tots as our VIP guests together with their parents at our big event at CRH. We hold it every year to welcome back all the couples we have helped to become families.  read more

Fizz to celebrate 680 NHS years

Looking forward to fizz and fun at Wednesday's Long Service awards at CRH.  Twenty-five more colleagues will be receiving their certificates and sharing a glass of bubbly at the latest in our ceremonies to thank everyone for all those years of dedication to the the NHS - a total of 680 years this time including one colleagues with 50 years!!  Well done all.  read more
