"They are the people who everyone knows but never sees!"     That's how Roberta Lister described the switchboard team at HRI which handles around 3000 calls every weekday and 1,000 on both Saturday and Sunday  - providing a brilliant front line services for us, our patients and their families.

There was a presentation to our outgoing Director of Nursing Julie Dawes at her final Weekly Executive Board meeting this morning. Flowers and gift vouchers for House of Fraser were donated and tomorrow she will say a special farewell to her team of senior nurse colleagues.

On the next level....HRI Catering Team rewarded for their hard work - with more than 500 years at CHFT they know their onions

The whole of the HRI Catering Team are now fully qualified in their Level 2 Food Safety in Catering awards - going one step further than technically required.     Director of Planning, Performance, Estates and Facilities Lesley Hill presented their certificates saying "I'm really pleased to be here to present these certificates.  read more

Wednesday drop-in sessions for Estates questions or feedback - changes to times and cancellation next week

Each week the Estates team hold an open drop-in style session for ANY colleague to come along and discuss ANY estates related matters.     The time of the session has been changed and will now take place between 2pm and 3pm every Wednesday in Forum Room B (sub-basement at HRI).  read more

APEX - thanks for support

      The issues surrounding the Trust’s IT laboratory system were finally resolved late last week.     The IT system which is responsible for uploading patient results to clinical areas was functioning as normal from Thursday afternoon.  read more
