   A couple have made a donation to the Calderdale Birth Centre as thanks for supporting them to have baby Rory after tragically losing their first baby.     Rory was born after a four-day labour on the Birth Centre, and throughout Grant and Rebecca Lockley were reassured and kept in good humour by the team there.

Farewell Margaret Henshaw after 39 years

Colleagues held a retirement do for orthoptist service manager Margaret Henshaw at Acre Mills.     They presented her with vouchers and earrings and they also attended a follow-up out  party for her last Friday night.     Colleague Lesley Boothroyd, said: "Margaret is an extremely popular colleague.

Library staff with books that were available

£86 raised by the library for cancer research

The Trust Library recently held a charity book sale to support the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in memory of a colleague, Viv Benbow-Browne, who died of this condition.    Thank you to all staff for all the kind donations and generous support. We have raised £86.00.  read more

Double retirement on Ward 2A/B

Two of our colleagues on ward 2 A/B have retired this week, with  72 NHS years between them!  Staff nurse Sue Uttley and Sister Ann Wickens have been loyal to the NHS over the years after spending the majority of their working life caring for others.  read more

From Monday 18 April colleagues can contact Chief Executive Owen Williams using the new "Ask Owen about RCTP" button on the intranet homepage.     Specifically designed for questions about the proposed plans to change hospital and community services, clicking the button (see main pic) will take you to a page to write your question.  read more

Another set of free Mindfulness courses aimed at supporting the health and wellbeing of CHFT colleagues are due to begin later this month. This course is a partnership run by Workforce Wellbeing and Chaplaincy.  read more
