20 years helping couples become families. Celebrations at the assisted conception unit annual party

   Everyone was celebrating at the annual assisted conception (ACON) party at CRH on Sunday. Our parents and their tots turned out in their hundreds for the afternoon and our ACON team were celebrating the  service's 20th anniversary. When it started there were just 50 IVF cycles a year.

Avoiding ache and kidney - our first AKI stand a huge success

CHFT colleagues feedback from the first public healthcare consultation event - and how you can Have your Say

This Tuesday (March 15) saw the formal start of the Right Care, Right Time, Right Place (RCTP) consultation process and it will continue for 14 weeks until Tuesday June 21.     Yesterday was the first drop-in information session for members of the public and we joined with CCG colleagues to  represent the RCTP process at Slaithwaite Town Hall.

The Outpatient Capacity Team (launched in February 2016) has been recently formed from members of staff who previously worked in isolation within divisions and their roles are to ensure outpatient capacity meets demand and is fully utilised.

Save the date - an opportunity to take part in two follow-up CQC focus groups next Wednesday

The CQC will be back on site next Wednesday 23 March to run two further focus groups for colleagues (which will last no more than an hour each).  read more

Locala Single Point of Contact information

This is for  colleagues who make referrals to Locala services now being handled in their Single Point of Contact (SPC).     After receiving questions and comments about e-referrals into their SPC, they've put together the attached guidance for clinicians who are referring via SystmOne and those without access to SystmOne who are referring via the Locala website.   read more

M62 night-time road closures starting Monday

We have been informed of overnight works (8 pm - 6 am) taking place on the M62 which may affect some colleagues.     Proposed drainage repairs begin next Monday 21 March on the M62 Junction 24 westbound.     The entry slip road will be completely closed and traffic diverted to Junction 25 and back.  read more

SPOILER ALERT - find out who Sarah Lancashire visited at CRH in the last Happy Valley - and don't click if you've not seen it yet!

In Tuesday night's finale - just after a third series was announced - the current Happy Valley ended including scenes shot at CRH of Sarah Lancashire heading down a corridor.     Mystery had surrounded exactly who she was coming to see and everyone had been kept guessing.  read more
