After 30 years Lynne Branford is hanging up her uniform... but the family's NHS connection dating back 42 years goes on.. and on.. and on!     Lynne followed in the footsteps of her mother and now her daughters and granddaughters are also NHS girls making an incredible four generations with us.

Scrum-my! Special guest joins eye clinic for cake stall fundraiser

   This week, CHFT held a fundrasier with a coffee morning, cake stall, and tombola, and all funds from the sales were raised for the medical retina fund- set up by our colleagues in the eye clinic.     It was a brilliant day and was well attended by patients and staff, along with a very special guest.

Transformation! From Lecture theatre to hi-tech MDT suite at HRI

Our doctors, nurses and therapists can now have their multi-disciplinary team (MDTs) meetings about cancer patients' care with colleagues across Yorkshire - without even leaving the Trust.     We have teamed up with Yorkshire Cancer Network (YCN) colleagues to improve the way the MDTs work for the benefit of our patients.

New internet explorer browser

Microsoft has now introduced their latest version of Internet Explorer browser – IE11. The Health Informatics Service (THIS) IT Department intends to upgrade ALL current web browsers to the latest version IE11 over the coming weeks.  read more

   Valentine's may have been and gone, but testing your smoke alarm is still as important as ever.     The West Yorkshire fire service launched a campaign this February 14th, urging people to test their smoke alarms for the ones they love.  read more

Last year our nurses took centre stage and scooped a top gong at the Nursing Times awards.     They were champions in the  section for partnership working in infection prevention and control for their work with colleagues in Romania.  read more
