Farewell ENT's Douglas Boyd

   After 30 years and four months our ENT consultant surgeon Douglas Boyd has retired.     Colleagues held a party to mark the event on the unit at CRH - see picture. His colleague Graham Smelt, said: " Douglas has been a delightful and supportive colleague.  He has preserved ENT through times of great changes.

Supermarket checkouts... bowel screening team out and about in supermarkets

The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme offers screening every two years to all men and women aged 60 to 74.     It is important as a screening centre that the low uptake areas are identified and that we work towards improving those areas in order to improve the general health of the community.  read more

Vicious strain of flu confirmed - first serious cases so now's the time act.
