Haigh in the hotseat... this Monday

      Andrew Haigh, our chairman since 2011, will be hosting a special event on Monday 11 January 2016. Colleagues can come along and “meet the chairman” by  asking him about Trust business of any nature as we start this brand new year.     Andrew's role includes leading the Trust Board and Membership Council.

Jane with flowers and a fab Ward 22 turnout to mark her last day

Ward 22 says "bye bye" to Jane Wright

Flowers and best wishes went to staff nurse Jane Wright who retired after more than 30 years with us.     Her colleagues on ward 22 laid on a spread and presented her with farewell flowers to mark her last day with the Trust on Tuesday  - the day before her 60th birthday.

Above and beyond beyond - How Sue, Josh, Wilf and Diane opened two full wards in six hours

   Our estates teams at HRI went into overdrive to reopen two wards in just six hours to help us cope with the winter pressures.       Team Leader Sue Kilner, porter Wilf Moses, domestic Josh Griffin and domestic Diane Sedgewick teamed up for a massive all-out effort to get the extra beds open for patients.

In Ali's memory - our Macmillan Unit receives a moving donation

No new frocks - just donations!.     That was the legacy of Ali Mitchell in whose memory more than £8,600 has been raised for our Macmillan Unit at CRH. Ali, from Halifax, passed away aged 47 in August but had been planning with her two close chums a major fundraising event.  read more
