It is the party season but the address on Janette's Cockroft's invitation takes a bit of beating. No 10 Downing Steet.     She spent two hours in the historic reception rooms inside the most famous address in the land with David Cameron and Jeremy Hunt and about 200 other healthcare professionals.

Farewell Dr Venu

Dr TC Venugopalan celebrated his 70th birthday and his retirement at the same time at an event this week.     His colleagues gathered at the sub-basement offices HRI for a buffet and presented him with a Rotary watch.     Dr Da Falla, paid tribute to him, saying: " He is a very valued member of our organisation.

All new staff nurses have the option of wearing the White Rose Yorkshire emblem to help other members of their teams identify they are new to CHFT.     This helps ensure the multi-disciplinary teams working around them recognise in a discreet manner that they may need more support and advice.

NHS Employers have published a case study outlining how our Work Together Get Results (WTGR) approach to change is making a difference to colleagues at CHFT.        The study (attached) outlines the challenges we faced as a Trust and what colleagues were telling us in the annual staff survey.  read more

Our former student placement officer in Communications is starting up a sideline you'd never thought possible.... as a slimming consultant!!     Amraze, 23, the first student from Huddersfield University on the year-long placement scheme with us in 2012-13 -  has been on a healthy eating and exercise regime this year and lost more than six stones.  read more
