   Huddersfield Town players were out in force to present goodie bags on the children's wards at both our hospitals.     Under new head coach David Wagner they now have afternoon training sessions so they were given special time off the schedule to spread some Xmas cheer.

Baby's life saved hours after training by Alistair Morris

Paediatrician Alistair Morris is fresh back from a midwives' training week in Cameroon - where there was instant success.     One volunteer midwife was trained in the morning to use an oxygen mask  and, using her skills, was able to resuscitate a baby born the very same day and not breathing.

   CHFT gave Mary Berry a run for her money this week as our coding team and pathway coordinators had their very own office bake off.     Christmassy confectionery made by both teams was on offer, including star decorated buns and mince pies to huge wedges of carrot cake.  read more

Official opening - Rainbow Child Development Service - pop in and see us

The official opening of the Rainbow Child Development Service at CRH will be performed by our CEO Owen Williams and two youngsters on Monday 14 December at CRH.  The whole team is excited at the prospect and on the morning of the event you are invited to pop-in and look around. First Star Award - Judging underway.

We are now looking forward to presenting the first CHFT Star Award. It's very exciting.     Thanks to everyone who sent in a nomination. There was a terrific response and it's a shame there's only one award. The judging panel is now assessing them and the winner will be announced mid-December.     So nominations are now open for the next award.  read more
