"In the Mood" on Poppy Day and Ward 19/20 excelled at Putting the Patient First

Staff on ward 19/20 at HRI  went that extra mile to bring back the memories of yester year for their patients on Remembrance Sunday.     They staged a coffee morning and brought in homemade cakes and buns, put up bunting with poppies on it and Union Jack flags to make the day extra special and to recreate memories with a soundtrack from the era.

Care Closer 2 Home - Update

As you know, on 1 October and 1 November a number of our services transferred to Locala Community Partnerships as part of the Care Closer to Home Kirklees contract including therapies and podiatry.  There are some services where we are still working through what the patient pathways and service models will be in preparation for them moving across on 1 December.  read more

Rehab Assistant Lisa Gray has worked at CHFT for six years - and this year for the first time ever she had her flu jab at her local GP.     "I have regular injections meaning my immune system is supressed by 50%. So last time I visited my GP I had the vaccination. I don’t know what I worried about….I was fine.  read more

Making parking easier for disabled visitors

Following feedback from the Calderdale Disability Group, we’ve made our disabled spaces at CRH clearer to see by painting them blue. And we’ve put in some additional parking too.     The request came from the group who we work closely with, to see what we could do to make the spaces more visible.  read more
