CQC inspection date and flu jab campaign underway: Big Brief Update

   News just in - our CQC inspection will start on March 8 2016 and is expected to run for several days. There will be lots more communcations about the visit between then and now.

Surprise surprise... Denise and chums

Tears and lippy - Denise Nash's surprise retirement

Denise Nash burst into tears -  then reached for her lippy - when colleagues threw her a surprise retirement party on ward 6d at CRH.     Denise, a Stroke Thrombolysis Nurse and Former Clinical support worker at CRH, has been at the Trust 24 years, 132 days (and three hours, she recalled with amazing precision (and a laugh!)).

Business was brisk on the first day's trading of our new fresh produce market stall in the reception at HRI yesterday.     Our Trust is one of three in the country which is part of the national  Food for Life Soil Association campaign  promoting healthy eating and lifestyles and are working in conjunction with Kirklees Council.  read more

Could EPR be the key to reducing pressure ulcers?  Any patient coming into hospital is at risk of developing a pressure ulcer.  Often bed-bound and more frequently in the old and frail, the sedentary nature of in-patient life means that every nurse knows pressure ulcers can be a patient’s worst enemy.  read more

A host of superheroes are taking to the skies in aid of our Child Development Unit at CRH.     The unit is currently under refurbishment, and Mandy and Jason McArthur, from Brighouse, are holding a fancy dress charity skydive to raise funds to contribute to the cost.  read more

We've lowered our Co2 emissions on our car salary sacrifice scheme

   From the beginning of this month, the range of cars available under the scheme to colleagues has a maximum limit of 130 Co2 emissions.  read more
