A visit to the HRI dining room has transformed the lives of colleagues, Ellie Pulcella and Lyn Mather.  Ellie  and Lyn both spotted the banner for a new app and following "My Fitness Pal" has seen them lose more than seven stones between them.

At last! HRI's new Oncology Out-Patients and chemotherapy room - 2015

Our new chemotherapy and oncology outpatient unit opened to patients at HRI this week.  The new Greenlea Unit is now based on the former Ward 7 after moving from the end of Ward 3.

In a lather. Handwashing roadshow

Colleagues were invited to sample a new foam handwash on this year's Handwash Roadshow.  It feels gentler on the hands and less drying and received a great reception so we may be swapping it for the gels. It is accessed via the same dispensers as the gels so it is under serious consideration.

Macmillan Coffee Morning, no one should face cancer alone.

The Macmillan 'Worlds biggest coffee morning' is back for its 25th year on Friday the 25th.     As ever the kettles will be on the go at the Macmillan Unit at CRH as the annual Coffee Morning fundraiser gets underway.  A coffee morning will also be held at the Eye Clinic at CRH from 10.  read more

Wrist tag is a life saver.

Mark Donaldson volunteers every Monday for CHFT as a ‘meet & greet’ for patients and visitors at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and is backing a new way of ensuring his medical condition is picked up.  He suffers from Todd’s paralysis, a focal weakness of a part of the body after a seizure and he now wears a digital wristband named Tap2TagMe.  read more
