How Kate's four little words are transforming patient care

The amazing Hello My Name Is..... campaign - started by HRI-born Dr Kate Granger - is having a huge impact on our patients' experience here at CHFT.  Our cute photo shows Midwife Emily O'Flynn introducing herself to new mum Jenna McGill and her 15- hour old baby Sienna. She gets it right and the smiles show it makes all the difference.

Thanks to everyone for Recruitment Fair event.

There was an excellent turnout from nurse, admin and recruiting colleagues across the Trust who made our latest Recruitment Fair a humdinger.  More than 50 attendees were interviewed on the day at HRI in the Boardroom on Saturday morning on October 12.

Why we're CHuFT to bits right now!

Today we're excited to launch our brand new "CHuFT to bits" intranet page - an idea that came from Matron, Karen Farrar (formerly Melling). She'd come off a really tough shift and wanted a way to share how proud she was of her team.  Karen told us how she bumped into our Director of Workforce and OD Suzanne Dunkley at the time.

Tracey Thompson, pictured right, donated her mum a kidney, raised £2k in a cycle ride in memory of her friend and heads up our Project SEARCH helping youngsters with learning disabilites into employment. How amazing!  read more

More than 1300 colleagues have already had their say in the NHS National Staff Survey. Colleagues from right across CHFT have taken part in a film to say how things have changed for them since the last one. And we also have some support on-hand next week to give you some time and space to fill in your survey.  read more

Our CHFT Specialist Epilepsy nurses and docotors staged an awareness stand about SUDEP  yesterday. SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.  read more
