This week, colleagues across the Trust were showing  some of CHFT's senior management team the ropes so they could find out more about their roles in all departments and areas.  Called "Back to the Floor" it was the idea of Louise Riby, a Sister on children's outpatients.

Fat's the way to do it. HRI caterers win Examiner front page praise.

Our catering team - see attached team photo - has been praised in the Examiner for making a patient's stay extra special... and tasty!  The patient had a very rare condition which limits how much fat she can eat so Adrian Brown and the team set about working out exactly how much fat was in each menu choice so she always had a selection - and not just baked potatoes.

Butterfly Scheme founder meets our champions at a relaunch event

Barbara Hodkinson MBE, the founder and co-ordinator of the Butterfly Scheme has been in our Trust for the past two days delivering updates and training sessions.  After day one at CRH yesterday, she  was overwhelmed and already looking forward to today at HRI.

Sharon Appleby's Bake Off farewell and California here she comes - despite Thomas Cook.

Star baker and our legendary Project Manager Sharon Appleby served up a tremendous spread for her emotional farewell coffee morning after 41 years in the NHS yesterday.  Paul Hollywood would have been wowed at the gateaux - all hand-made by Sharon - which included Lemon and Elderflower, Pistachio and Rose and Champagne and Strawberry (and they were just the big ones).

Bariatric Moving and Handling drop-in - next Thursday 3rd

Come along to our drop-in on Thursday 3rd October at CRH and learn about all things bariatric.  Join the team, ask your questions and try out our equipment.
