Parachute jump for Community Cardiac Rehab team.. after four heart attacks!

Former patient Ray MacDonald truly reached for the sky – raising more than £1500 for the Community Cardiac Rehabilitation Team* by doing a parachute jump!  Ray, 70, who lives in Mount Tabor in Halifax, told us: “I was under the care of the cardiac team, having had four heart attacks in the past 11 years and was waiting for a bypass.  read more

Freedom to Speak Up - special event on rostering coming up.

Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) concerns raised so far this year range from smoking breaks, relationship issues, guidance on policies and more.  And with rostering cropping up regularly, the FTSU network will make it their theme of the month in September.  read more

Cleaner Carol's for the charity Chop!

Domestic Carol Simmons is looking for sponsors as she is due to get 16 inches of her hair cut off at the end of September after growing it for six years for the Little Princess Trust.  This hair will go to help make wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment.  read more

New apprentices on rotation in WOD - thanks to Ria's fab idea

A new rotational role has been introduced into Workforce and Organisational Development (WOD), and this week we've welcomed four new apprentices into it.  read more

Thanks to a charitable funds subsidy, the cost of our choir sessions is now only £2 a time.  We've also changed the venue and time too so more colleagues can attend!  The choir will now meet on Wednesdays at HRI from 11th September...   read more

Individualised care plans should be in drawn up for patients requiring one-to-one supervision - and will help you understand what level of supervision is required when patients need to use the bathroom.  read more
