Is this an award I see before me? Our Sarah was only Yorkshire finalist at Shakespeare's theatre finals

Well done to Sarah Wilson, CHFT's finalist at the British Nursing Journal Awards and the only rep from a Yorkshire trust.  She came third in the Oedema Nurse of the Year for her pioneering work supporting breast cancer patients.  She said the night - at the Shakespear Underglobe Theatre in London - was a cracker.

How a day trip to Blackpool made a difference to patients and staff - Schwartz Round tomorrow

Tomorrow is our second Schwartz Round, and our lead for Skills and Simulation, Angela Hope will tell how a trip to the Blackpool Illuminations not only benefitted long-term rehab patients, but the staff who went with them in their own time also gained a huge amount of job satisfaction.  read more

Referral to Treatment - the pathway made simple and key messages

The Referral to Treatment (RTT) standard is a key indicator on how trusts are delivering on a patient's right to receive treatment within 18 weeks of being referred to a consultant-led service.  Please see this important message from Chief Clinical Information Officer Graham Walsh, which highlights the importance of using the correct codes.  read more

We're recruiting Band 5 Nurses and Theatre Practitioners on April 6.

Our last Recruitment Day was a huge success - every one of the 52 applicants who interviewed were offered a job. So the team are hoping for yet more success on Saturday 6th April at their next event.  read more
