Jumping for Joy. We've three through to the Student Nursing Times finals

Here's Sister Emma Armitage (formerly Melkowski) literally jumping for joy at the news she's a finalist at one of the top awards ceremonies of the year.  "Outstanding" Emma along with Gary Miles and CHFT as a whole organisation, will be at the Student Nursing Times awards in London on Friday 26th April.

"A Linda -shaped hole is now missing from Allan House"

Community staff at Allan House (AH)  in Sowerby Bridge will miss administrator Linda Mitchell. To commemorate her retirement many took to Facebook to add their thoughts and comments on a treasured friend and colleague.

Dr Jessica Gray's first Marathon for a great cause.

It's 26 miles long, it's her first  marathon but it's in Sweden and it's very flat .....and that is why Dr Jessica  Gray is pulling on her running shoes for charity. Our paediatrics first year junior doc is competing in the ASICS Stockholm Marathon, on June 1 with colleagues Kieran Jankowski and Chris Richards.

Farewell to Janice - the oracle of Day Surgery

Day Surgery legend Janice Broadbent has retired after 38 years in the NHS.  She is one of the original members of staff to work on HRI's Day Surgery after it was opened in 1998 and has worked here ever since.

Call the (mini) Midwife - on World Book Day

Keeley Rollins - our clinical midwifery manager based at Broad Street, Halifax - waved her seven-year-old daughter off to Greetland Academy on World Book Day with pride in her heart.  Little Isabella Rollins wore a home-made midwife's uniform to reflect the books by Jennifer Worth on which which the hit Sunday night TV series Call the Midwife is based.  read more

CHFT supporting Apprentice Week 2019

It's one of our favourite weeks here at CHFT- Apprentice Week.  It's when the country recognises the role and work of apprentices in the workplace and here at CHFT we've plenty of reasons to celebrate, including our newest cohort of 16 new apprentices.  read more
