If you see a colleague with a bright green lanyard then you know they're one of our new Freedom to Speak Up Ambassadors.  They are in all roles across the Trust and have volunteered to be an extra, confidential  way of raising issues here at CHFT. You know you can talk to them in confidence and share your thoughts with them.

Carole Hallam's moved onto pastures new.

Carole Hallam  moved onto pastures new with her last CHFT day on Christmas Eve. She will be joining the Y&H Academic Health Science Network as Quality Improvement Manager.  A send-off was staged in the Learning Centre, HRI where colleagues sent their well-wishes to Carole and thanked her for all her support and hard work over the many years she has worked here.

'Flu update: And if you've young children then read on

'Flu is now at its most virulent so far this winter - and children as young as three months have tested positive here at CHFT.  We had 51 positive tests in the lab in the month of December and already 42 in January - proof that 'flu cases are escalating.

Jobs in the new Vascular Service for West Yorkshire

In the summer, we told you about some planned changes to the way in which vascular services will be provided across West Yorkshire following a request from NHS England that we move from three to two arterial hubs. The hubs will provide all elective arterial and acute work as well as high risk Interventional Radiology (IR).  read more
