Riley's on a roll.. thanks to amazing, caring Paediatric Team. (and nearly meets Jess Glynn)

Our paediatric teams at CRH have had a social media  jackpot this week after helping their "little man" Riley Merrill  attend a Jess Glynn concert.  And the eight-year-old just missed out on a chance meeting with his pop heroine as he was invited to join her back stage - but they were already on their way home from the stadium in Leeds so he missed out.

Bob Tomlinson becomes a Pharmacy Fellow!

      Our long-serving pharmacist Bob Tomlinson has been made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Pharmacists.  Bob, a Product and Formulations Pharmacist for the unit, was nominated for the accolade by a host of colleagues including our former clinical director of pharmacy Mike Culshaw.

Long Service awards becomes a family affair for Ruth Finlay

Outpatients' manager  for Medicine and Surgery Ruth Finlay collected her long service award last night for 25 years (27 actually)  - carrying on an amazing family NHS tradition.  Her parents, Janet and John who met when the were nurse training in Sheffield were there and they inspired Ruth and her siblings Tim and Rebecca to follow in their career footsteps.  read more

Our Festive Freya Lloyd  -  Santa's little elfer (top left) - has been out and about across the Trust and bagged some cracker photos in her sack.  This photo is taken in old Acre Mills of our  Workforce and Organisational Team and they were so pleased they burst into song and shared the moment with a singing Xmas tree.   read more

Accessing ESR from home - information added to our Website to help colleagues

Almost 50% of colleagues have logged on to Employee Staff Records (ESR) from home - whether to check their payslip, change personal information or do their training. It's really easy to set up - and we've also included the information on the CHFT Website so you don't have to worry about remembering where to look for it.  read more

New financial support for colleagues

We appreciate financial worries can impact the overall wellbeing of our colleagues. So we are working with leading financial wellbeing provider - Neyber, to offer resources and support to help colleagues take control of their finances.  read more

Future Leaders Opportunities.

The Future Leaders Programme offers opportunities for Health Education England Yorkshire and the Humber medical and dental trainees to do a one year “out of programme experience” (OOPE) Clinical Leadership Fellowship to help grow and develop their personal leadership skills.  Some Clinical Leadership Fellow vacancies are open to nurses and allied health professionals.  read more

Bite-sized learning - helping avoid delays and missed doses of Controlled Drugs

This week a reminder about ordering controlled drugs (CD) for patients.  There have been a few incidences where patients have missed getting their CDs or they have been administered late. This can have an impact on their recovery and wellbeing. We're also asking colleagues to think about forward planning for weekends and Bank Holidays.  read more

Overgate Hospice looking for Trustees

There are four volunteer (unpaid) Trustee vacancies at Overgate, including a nurse to be on the Board for a year. Please see below and attached for details of how to apply etc.  We are particularly looking for experience in the areas of Finance, Fundraising, Company Secretary or Information Technology. We are also looking for an experienced Nurse to join the Board for a year.  read more
