All staff are encouraged to familiarise themselves with a new presentation on our intranet. “Suspect Something – Say Something” highlights the signs and indicators of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and advises what should be done by anyone concerned that a child is at immediate risk. read more
Our Trust has donated powdered soup to The Real Junk Fund Project, Dewsbury. The powdered soup recently became surplus to our requirements when home-made soup was introduced to our menu. The Real Junk Food project intercepts food that is at sell-by date that would normally go to landfill. read more
Finance our Future
The Trust is launching a financial training programme designed as a clear and simple introduction to finance within the NHS. The training seeks to demystify financial language and help you understand how it works. The training is free to access for Trust staff and initially will form part of the Trust’s training package for all approvers of expenditure incurred by the Trust. read more
A team of six CHFT staff will be participating in the Warrior challenge this weekend to raise money for Help the Heroes charity. The Warrior Challenge, which is being held this Saturday (27th June) at Bramham Park in Leeds, their start time is 13:40. This challenge is not the average fun run; it is designed to test stamina, strength and determination. read more
Nursing Times Awards - two CHFT teams shortlisted
Two of our teams have been shortlisted for this year’s Nursing Times awards,
- The Intermitted catheterisation – the REAL alternative to continence care, in the Continence Promotion and Care category.
- Partnership working with a Romanian Hospital, in the Infection Prevention and Control category.
GMC Trainee Survey results
The Trust recently received the results of the 2015 GMC survey of doctors in training. This is an annual national survey which asks the trainees about the views on the training they receive whilst with us. We had a 100% response rate for the third year in a row. read more
Visit our CHFT Library
The CHFT Library based in CRH is open to all Trust staff from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm. The quiet friendly environment is a great place to work, study and read. The Library is there to provide CHFT staff access to evidence-based health information resources and skills training. At the moment, there are over 700 titles available electronically via Oxford Medicine Online. read more
