Top team! Leading HIV prevention and it's all about consent in Sexual Health Week

Our Sexual Health Services Team is leading a new drug  trial  locally designed to prevent the transmission of HIV.  We've been selected due to our excellent reputation and are only the second area in West Yorkshire to be taking part so far.

It's been great this week welcoming a new cohort of nurses to CHFT.  The majority are newly qualified nurses and in the main from Huddersfield University - yet also amongst them were nurses with more experience too.  Trainer Lesley Norcliffe, in top pic with red top, said: "They were so enthusiastic and so keen to participate.

Can you find our manikin couch?

   One of our manikins can't lie down right now - and that means CHFT colleagues can't be trained safely.  That's because an examination couch - used during  resuscitation courses -  in order to demonstrate effective chest compressions safely - is unable to be traced. Sue Shaw our lead resuscitation officer is desperate to track it down.  read more

Landlubbers fundraiser concert in CRH chapel - free tickets available.

   Colleagues are invited to a rousing concert in the chapel at CRH on Thursday October 18th (7.30 pm)  There are 30 tickets to hear The Landlubbers at a live broadcast which will also raise funds for hospital radio and be broadcast live to our patients.  read more
