Scary "matron" stars at Scarecrow Weekend

Here's an amazing effort from Zoe Bower and Beverley Taylor at this year's Norland's Scarecrow Festival.  The theme was the letter N and the design included cots, babies, medical equipment and a very scary-looking midwife in the background. see attached..  read more

Selina's heading to the hills to keep fit. Join her this Sunday

Finalists for innovation.

A CHFT venture was in the finals of the prestigious Lord Carter* Award for Innovation.   Senior Analyst Graham Smith and pharmacist Nigel Watson entered their project for the award in April and were delighted to be shortlisted in a very strong field. Bite sized learning - Sepsis screening tool must always be used

It's World Sepsis Day next Thursday 13th, so this week we have a timely reminder about the importance of using the screening tool when a Sepsis alert is raised in EPR. We know it is frequently being bypassed and it's vital to react within the hour if severe Sepsis is likely.  read more

New Taxi Policy - for those requiring taxis to provide patient care

If you use taxis to support patient care, please familiarise yourself with our new policy. We're aiming to minimise unnecessary spend on taxis, and the policy includes alternative, more cost effective transport options provided by CHFT. It also outlines the new booking process.  read more

Thank you and goodbye to our old staff intranet

Our new intranet has been up and running since January, and the time has come to switch off the old site. So from Wednesday 19th September you'll no longer be able to access it.  The server the old site is stored on is no longer fit for the job, and was the main reason we had to set up the new intranet.  INFO: A small number of system forms will still work.  read more

Fitness Fusion is back at HRI next week - help get in shape for that little black dress

Sophie's back at HRI from next Friday 14th of Septemebr to help you shake your funky stuff, have some fun and get fit.  A combo of Dancersise, Zumba, Aerobics and StreetFIT.
