Adnan Muhamed's farewell to Children's Outpatients CRH

Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Adnan Muhamed has left the Trust after 22 years.  His plans after the Trust are to become a full time Huddersfield Town supporter, both home and away!  Adnan said: “I will miss everyone, but I will especially miss the cheeky and happy faces from the Children’s Outpatients; who always found something funny to laugh and joke about!”

Celebrating Nursing Conference 2015 - Friday 18th September

Come and join our first Celebrating Nursing Conference on Friday 18th September 2015  It is an opportunity to share and celebrate the excellent work carried out by nursing teams across the Trust.  The event will include a series of presentations, poster presentations, plus a chance to meet candidates shortlisted for the Trust’s Celebrating Success Awards 2015.

Excellent MDT

Our Trust has a new seven-week supported self-management course for people with MS.   The course involves patients and health professionals working as equal partners and is based on the well-established self-management course for pain..  Self-management is about an individual having a useful understanding of their condition and knowing what they can do to manage it.

A new programme of director-led colleague information sharing sessions is being launched from July, which aim to keep you up-to-date and involved in the key issues facing our Trust. Its also an opportunity for you to ask questions or share your views with members of the director team.  read more

Changes to induction in CHFT

Our Trust is implementing a new way of delivering our corporate induction.  Induction is recognised as essential to employment best practices and helps to embed new employees into the ethos of the Trust and makes sure that we are compliant with regulatory bodies.  read more

Cathy's 58,000 steps... on her 58th birthday

Occupational therapy secretary Cathy Berry celebrated her 58th birthday on holiday in Spain in a truly amazing way....by notching up an incredible 58,000 steps.  She's currently top of the leader board in the Global Corporate Challenge and is determined to stay there even when she's on holiday. The usual target is 10,000 a day.  read more

Post-natal buggy walks

Health Visitors Sarah Maybury and Sue Jones from Children’s services are currently delivering a building community capacity project of post-natal buggy walks.  The walks take place in and around the Rastrick area, and they are primarily promoting them at the 3-4 month assessments but are open to families with children on the HV caseload.  read more

Incredible Edibles at CRH

Incredible AquaGarden (part of the Incredible Edible Todmorden Group) is creating edible landscapes in the grounds of Calderdale Royal Hospital.  On Wednesday, June 17th, the team form Incredible AquaGarden, along with a group of volunteers form LLoyds Bank, Halifax, will be planting edibles in four sites, within the hospital grounds.  read more
