Jailed for three months. Watch the fraudster DJ and find out how CHFT made legal history.

This man was DJ-ing at the same time he was trying to fraudulently claim more than £800K from CHFT claiming he had been left unfit for work.  The video was part of the evidence against him and last Friday he was jailed for three months and ordered to pay £75K in costs.

Jackie Murphy shares all in our latest Hello My Name Is...!

   Jackie Murphy is our new interim Chief Nurse following the departure of Brendan Brown to Airedale as CEO. She officially started in her role this Monday and here is the latest in our Hello My Name Is... featuring her 80-year-old Mum, her love of fairweather festival-going and her pride in the NHS.

Bye Bye to Brendan and those belly laughs

There was a fab turnout to say farewell to Brendan Brown as he left us to take up the Chief Exec's role at Airedale.  He joined us two years ago from Burton Hospitals FoundationTrust as our Chief Nurse and hailed his two years at CHFT as the best in his 30 in the NHS.  read more

Leigh Chambers' skydive for lost babies - her fear of heights isn't going to stop her

One of our community midwives, Leigh Chambers, will be reaching new heights in August when she does a charity skydive to raise funds for Saying Goodbye up in the Lakes in Grange-over-Sands.  read more

Bite-sized Learning: Duty of Candour and getting the tone of our letters right.

Getting the tone right in our letters to our patients or their relatives is very important part of our Duty of Candour when we are investigating a complaint.   As part of this, all letters should be checked in the division to ensure an appropriate professional tone is met and an apology included when its needed.  read more

Join 85,000 in parkruns for the NHS this Saturday

Halifax parkrun contacted CHFT Weekly this week to say they're also having an NHS70 themed run this Saturday 9th June.    They're joining Huddersfield and more than 300 other parkruns on the day and the event is backed by Dame Kelly Holmes (pictured).  read more
