Ophthalmology training event puts CHFT "on the map".

After 18 months of planning, more than 300 patients were seen by around 80 trainee Ophthalmologists from across the world as CHFT hosted the April part 2 Fellowship in Ophthalmology by examination (FRCOphth).  The Royal College of Ophthalmologists  asked our consultant Rehna Khan if we would host the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE).

Buying, selling and recycling is back on the intranet.

It's back by popular demand. Our noticeboard returns to the intranet today allowing colleagues to post wanted, items for sale and recycled items. It's also useful for general notices, such as events or rearranged or cancelled training, as well as those messages that don't need to be sent Trustwide.  Photos and documents can be added too.  read more

What to do if you believe your income tax code is wrong

A number of colleagues have contacted payroll as they believe they have been allocated the wrong income tax code in April, resulting in them paying more tax than expected. We appreciate this is frustrating for affected colleagues. This briefing explains what happens each year, and what you need to do if you (or your member of staff) believe you (they) are affected.  read more

Tap & Go being upgraded

Tap and Go is being upgraded over the coming months which will mean icons like FirstNet, Powerchart and PMOffice will be on desktops. Work in Outpatients will take place overnight to avoid disruption to clinics.  The Outpatients upgrade starts on Monday 30th April and work will only take place out of hours.  read more

      IBM (who maintain and manage ESR) will be shutting the system down this weekend for essential maintenance and upgrades.It will be unavailable between 6pm Friday 27th April to 23.59 on Saturday 28th.  read more
