Med Services Reconfig starts this weekend: moves and timeline of all the changes

This weekend sees the start of our Medical Services Reconfiguration to ensure we can deliver quality, safe care throughout this winter for our patients and their families.  In essence we are centralising some services which are currently provided at both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Hospital onto one of the sites only.  read more

Top CHFT teamwork earns three charity donations from our CEO

Thanks.... and hope we never need you!  The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue team collected a £100 charitable donation after HRI radiology was one of three teams who won our own "Three Peaks" challenge.  read more

Pnt and Agnieszka are top of the CPR class

Agnieszka Wozniak and Pnt Laloe scored 100% in  the launch of Level 1 Resuscitation Training Update using QCPR manikins earlier this month.  They are pictured with Dr Tim Jackson the anaesthetic representative on our CHFT Resuscitation Committee.  read more

Sikh Day of Prayer for the Hospital 2017

Representatives from both of Huddersfield’s Sikh Temples met in the Hope Centre at HRI for the annual Prayer for the Hospital earlier this month.  This comprises traditional chanting and prayers led by the priest, with the intention of spreading blessings and wellbeing for both patients and staff.  read more

Support for HIV Testing Week

National HIV Testing Week - which starts on Saturday - is co-ordinated by HIV Prevention England (HPE) and promotes the benefits of regular testing and treatment for both the individual and community.  Our CEO  Owen Williams took the opportunity to have a test carried out by our GUM consultant Lindsay Short.  read more
