Out of the mouths of babes! New film tells it as it is on our ward

They may be as young as five... but what our junior patients think is very important to us!    So these youngsters have been filmed giving their child's view on how it is on our  paediatrics ward.  It's vital extra feedback for us.

   There's only seven (working) days to enter Celebrating Success 2017 and a big thankyou  to  everyone who has entered so far we.  At the moment Surgery lead the divisions for entries with Corporate second.   However we (and Hattie Jacques!)  know there are more out there just waiting to be sent in.

Staff Friends and Family Test - Corporate division leads responses

With just 10 days to the close of the Staff Friends and Family Test (FFT) 23% of us have taken the opportunity to complete the short two-question survey - which means 3 out of 4 colleagues have yet to fill theirs in.  Colleagues with a CHFT email account have all received the survey - and will receive regular reminders from the Staff Friends and Family email account.  read more

Improving EPR Capacity Management (CapMan) access. Plus Gender Breach will be switched on

From 29 August 2017, colleagues will see improvements to EPR Capacity Management (Cap Man) access, resulting in easier sign-on.   When we went live with EPR in May, we introduced a temporary arrangement for some colleagues (mainly ward clerks and bed managers) to access EPR Cap Man - which meant that they had more than one sign-on for the system.  read more

Bite-sized Learning: Nil by mouth/PEG guidelines

If a patient is placed as nil by mouth or nil by PEG, it's crucial to review how medicines are prescribed and to find an alternative way of giving medication. Our guidelines have been reviewed so please make sure you are familiar with them.  Please share this week's Bite-sized Learning with your team at huddles, in handovers and other training/team sessions.  read more

New barriers installed at Acre Mills

The Trust has now introduced the same pay-on-exit system on the car park at Acre Mills Outpatient centre which is used across the whole of the Trust.  It went live on August 8 and replaces the auto-number plate recognition  (ANPR) system.  read more

Do you claim expenses? Important information

Colleagues must use the expenses system to make their claims within three months of incurring the expense and paper claims are no longer accepted.  Other recent changes include adding receipts to claims, no more paperwork for managers to set up new employees and the ability to set up your own vehicle...plus more.  read more
