Working through a power cut to put the patient first! Star Team at Salterhebble

   When a power cut struck leaving a bariatric patient in difficulty our Salterhebble Loan Store team worked on together and provided first class care.  And their speedy response - and all their other fab work - has earned them this month’s Star Award.

New heights for our young patients. Children diabetes team's day out.

   Our young patients with diabetes enjoyed rock climbing sessions thanks to donations from our partners  Manrochem and Johnson & Johnson.  Their support has enabled us to kick start a new program of diabetes education sessions for our young patients with type 1 diabetes and the sessions were held in Brighouse.

Ward 12's HCA Jean Boyles retires after 14 years

"I'll killl 'em!" laughed Jean Boyle when Comms contacted her about her retirement from  HRI's Ward 12 last Friday.  But she loves her colleagues really and when Jean, second left in pale blue, second row, retired there was a massive rush to join her on her final photo.

Our former speech therapy patient Zain Ghani met up with  King's Speech star Colin Firth  when the actor was the star guest at the Action for Stammering Children charity board.    Zain is now on the youth panel supporting younger people who stammer and is planning on some volunatry work with us this summer.  read more

Lady Halifax opens new Macmillan Info Centre

Our Macmillan Information and Support centre at CRH has undergone a £53,000 transformation and had a formal ribbon snipping  reopening ceremony.  Lady Halifax - president of Macmillan - reopened the centre last Friday watched by colleagues on the unit.  read more

Information Governance mandatory training...face-to-face sessions now offered instead of elearning

Shuttle bus Easter timetable
