Tears flowed all round  when Ward 8's Valerie Bamforth received her surprise Star Award!     In the most emotional presentation so far, the much-treasured nutrition assistant first looked stunned then broke down on her nominator Vicki Bergin's shoulder.

Fab Photos: Theatres... where team spirit delivers for our patients

Theatres were a joy to be amongst when Comms and our photographer landed on them earlier this month - and these photos reflect that. Flu circulating - get your vaccination before we return supplies

Our Medical Director David Birkenhead has confirmed that, like this time last year, flu is circulating now in our community and cases are being admitted to our Trust.     Supplies of vaccines will be collected from wards by Pharmacy soon - so if you still need your jab please ask your immuniser, or alternatively contact Occupational Health who will be glad to help.  read more

New Canon printers coming across the Trust

   New Canon printers are starting to be introduced right across the Trust in four phases.     Once the rollout schedule for each phase has been agreed individual areas will be advised of their delivery dates.  read more

Fab Photos: Physios and an amazing Physio OP booking team

We have physios helping our patients to regain their mobility and their lives.     The Trust has a single central centre for booking all appointments based at Brighouse Health Centre  and it has been known to take up to 400 calls a day.  read more

A new wellbeing space for staff and visitors is being created at Calderdale Royal Hospital.     It is being located next to the diabetes centre at the back of the hospital in partnership with Rooting and Fruiting - an organisation which encourages environmental spaces in and around healthcare centres.  read more

CHFT has a new NHS logo - please use it....and let's ditch the clip art

Following a national review, all NHS organisations have a new logo to use from now.     It's a subtle change with the main blue NHS lozenge being on the top line and the Trust's name below it. We'd ask colleagues to use it on new documents where a logo is required.  read more
