Facilities Management Co-ordinator Joanne Lambert has scooped the top prize in the British Institute for Cleaning Sciences recognition regional awards.     The awards  - for the north-east area- were staged in Doncaster  where our Bed Team and domestic Kim Patterson were also shortlisted.

Nagged into being jabbed - but safe from flu now!

Orthopaedic surgeon Bob Metcalf is a late addition to the flu-jabbed register - and it's all down to his GP wife.     Bob said:  “My wife, a local GP and I were talking about the flu vaccination. I mentioned I’d not had it because I didn’t think I needed it - I didn’t pose a risk and I didn’t want to be unwell.  read more

Pints raise pounds for weekend away for young diabetes patients.

Big thanks to St John's Church in Rastrick which staged a beer festival and donated funds to help us  fund a trip to take 28 young diabetes patients on an activity weekend to the Lake District.     Our paediatric diabetes team host the weekends to boost confidence and to help younsgters feel they are not alone with the condition.  read more

Next Big Brief - Tuesday 10 Jan, 2017 at 8am

Next year, Big Brief will move to the Tuesday after our monthly Board meetings meaning we can share important information more quickly.      We are also moving to 8am as the lunchtime sessions didn't work for all colleagues. We will be in Ingleton Falls at CRH and the Lecture Theatre at HRI on Tuesday 10 January at 8am.  read more
