Surgery's "Bond" Girls dazzle .... and a Christmas Karol!

They were all fairly shaken and stirred as Surgery enjoyed a Bond-themed night out at Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top.     Little black dresses and tuxedos were a-plenty as the team of around 15 turned up all scrubbed up and top of the glamour league. There was champagne on arrival and even a mini-casino to complete the classy night shared with others on their night out..

As Christmas draws near we're edging even closer - Medical Division gaining ground...have you got any flu vaccination forms in your department that need returning?

We've had a great response this week from colleagues who've had their vaccination at a GP or elsewhere, plus vaccination forms being located in wards and departments - so keep 'em coming to Occupational Health so they can be recorded ASAP.  read more

Santa approves!! New Going Home Zones will help our contracted taxi firms find patients more quickly out of hours

The new zones - in the main entrances at both sites - have been created to make sure patients with pre-authorised transport are picked up as quickly as possible when our own transport department is closed.     This should help to improve the experience for people who just want to get home quickly (like Santa aka Barry Ackroyd) - as we all do.  read more

Green beards, Cath on a cornet, church services and kindness boxes: you've got Xmas all wrapped up!

   Green Beards all round   Mafizur Rahman and Harry Crank  from the Pathology Department at HRI  had their beards glittered to raise money in aid of White Knights blood bikes whose volunteers provide an out of hours service throughout the night and a full 24hr service on bank holidays including Christmas day.  read more
