Our senior nurses have a new bib and tucker....and they're showing them off in style.     The brand new black and white uniforms are being worn by Gemma Berriman and Gail Wright as part of the senior nursing team.     There will also be other members of the senior team in a black and red uniform.

Bogus caller claiming to be either IT or from the CQC - register for password reset now to help keep our data safe

We are receiving reports that a gentleman is contacting wards and departments claiming to be from I.T. requesting for customers usernames and passwords. This person is claiming that the I.T. systems are down and they are investigating firewall and security issues. This is NOT a member of The Health Informatics Service.  read more

Patient Joan Taylor occasionally visits our hospital, though as a patient she manages her conditions herself at home. On Monday she came to CRH along with heart patient and volunteer Darren Gibson to help raise awareness of our Take Control programme as part of Self Care Week.  read more

Handmade with love - pyjamas and gowns donated for our young patients

Our Paediatrics ward have recently had a fantastic donation of new hospital pyjamas and surgical gowns from a charity called Wrap Pyjama Fairies. These are handmade by volunteers and supplied free of charge to hospitals and to families who have a planned hospital admission.  read more

Our thoughtful colleagues Angela Hope and Caren Reid are organising a special Christmas kindness box collection for older and vulnerable patients this Christmas.     The idea stemmed from when Angela used to be a sister on ward 9 and another time on 5ab - when she made sure every patient received a gift on Christmas Day.  read more

Biffa recycling roadshows next week

Biffa Waste Services, who handle our domestic waste and recycling will be holding recycling roadshows on two lunchtimes next week(12 until 1:30pm). HIV Testing Week starts this Saturday
