Lynne Branford is retiring and celebrating four generations in the NHS

After 30 years Lynne Branford is hanging up her uniform... but the family's NHS connection dating back 42 years goes on.. and on.. and on!     Lynne followed in the footsteps of her mother and now her daughters and granddaughters are also NHS girls making an incredible four generations with us.

Flood fighter Linda Mitchell is our second Star Award winner

Three soggy snowmen bobbing about in the muddy water when the floods hit Sowerby Bridge had Linda Mitchell in near tears.     Her beloved Allan House annex was amongst the worst hit in the town and the sight of those little snowmen broke her heart.

      Andrew Haigh, our chairman since 2011, will be hosting a special event on Monday 11 January 2016. Colleagues can come along and “meet the chairman” by  asking him about Trust business of any nature as we start this brand new year.     Andrew's role includes leading the Trust Board and Membership Council.

We had them from all areas, in all roles and they were a real joy to read. From 5% to 60% - teams deliver for Fractured Neck of Femur patients

Our teams caring for around 500 patients annually with broken hips (fracture neck of femurs) have made huge strides to bring care up to meet Best Practice Guidance. Patients suffering fractured neck of femurs often have lots of complicated needs, many are in their 80s and 90s.
